Humor at the bookstore!

So I was browsing the local Barnes & Noble...I get totally lost in that store, I am much more use to shopping at Hastings. But anyways I was looking at the YA books and I came across something that just made me die laughing. What is that you ask? Nightlight, A Parody, apparentlly it came out back in November, but this is the first I have seen of it!



Synopsis:

About three things I was absolutely certain. First, Edwart was most likely my soul mate, maybe. Second, there was a vampire part of him-which I assumed was wildly out of his control-that wanted me dead. And third, I unconditionally, irrevocably, impenetrably, heterogeneously, gynecologically, and disreputably wished he had kissed me. Ok,ok,ok... I am a Twilight fan and love Stephanie Meyer, however how can you not think this is funny! I think it's genius! Plus, I don't think I have seen this before in books. It's not uncommon to do spoof movies that make fun of a bunch other movies. I seriously almost bought it, but figured it was such a short read, that I would wait until I get my kindle =). Where the heck have I been? Oh yeahh my own little lizzie world lol)

'Tis the season...& Eclipse plans!

Alright, so I just don't feel right not giving props to the Book turned TV shows. I'm so excited because tonight is the premier of Pretty Little Liars on ABC Family. I have not read the books, but now I feel like I should...the show looks pretty interesting so the books must be right? Here's the trailer...if anyone watches let me know what you think!

Nothing says summer to me like TRUE BLOOD!! My most favorite show in the world, and one of the few that both my husband and I like! Season 3 starts this Sunday on HBO. This show just has it all, its entertaining, sexy, amazing, I can't even really put it in words. I won't even read the books yet, because I don't want to ruin the show, but I keep hearing the books and show are totally different..here's the trailer!

Okay so on to our second subject of the night. Karina and I have some super fun plans for the Eclipse release! I have to say this is the first ever midnight release for a movie I am going to...which is sad but true =) Before the movie however(and after working a 10 hour day..eek!) Karina and I will be attending a Twilight PARTY!! Woohoo! I even got a t-shirt so I can be all decked out! We are super excited and promise to take tons of pictures to share with you all! What are your plans for Eclipse?? Oh and just another note... BIG suprise that the Twilight cast yet again took basically all the awards on the MTV Movie Awards who would have guessed they would have yet again for what the second year in a row! Anyways here is the trailer they showed during the awards if you haven't seen it!

Book Woes =(

Okay, so you might be wondering why I haven't been posting much lately. It's not because I haven't been reading I promise you that! The reason is I have been having a hard time picking out an AMAZING book! Before Spirit Bound, I had been trying and trying to read different type's of books...I would go to the book store and just pick a book that I hadn't heard much about, or that was an author I have never read. So in doing that, I wasn't choosing books that could keep me interested here is a sampling of some of the books I have been trying to read:
The Girl Who Played With Fire By Stieg Larsson
Death's Mistress By Karen Chance
Dead Witch Walking By Kim Harrison
Thirst No 2 By Christopher Pike
Blood Game By Iris Johansen
I've also been trying to read Burned By PC & Kristin Cast and just have not been able to get into the book, which is suprising since I have enjoyed the series so far. So I decided to change my book buying ways, since I hadn't been able to get through one in my normal time.
I am now currently reading Hush, Hush and Lover Avenged...I have heard AMAZING things about Hush Hush and I really have to say I enjoy the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I think going forward I will still try new books and authors but do a good mixture of those books and ones I know I will enjoy!!! Look forward to many reviews to come!!

Vampire Academy Fans: Cast your vote!

I am very curious to see what the popular opinion is on this one.

Book Cover To Vampire Acadamy's 6th book, Last Sacrifice, has arrived!!

Finally! It's here, the cover to Richelle Mead's 6th and final book from the Vampire Academy Series.



Release date is December 7, 2010!!! (Note, RM's website said Dec. 14, but recently read book release was moved up a week.)

This book better end up tying all the lose ends in Dimitri and Rose's relationship; I have super high hopes for D and R. At the moment, I am sooo traumatized because of Spirit Bound :)

As for any spin-offs, I predict Adrian will have his own or at least be a big player in the next series because he has grown up so much in Spirit Bound and is such a lovable character, everyone wants him to be happy, just not with Rose. That's Dimitri's territory.

As for who Adrian ends up with, it will have to be in the next series assuming Richelle Mead isn't taking the 6th's book title literally. I mean that Rose better not even sacrifice her true love for Dimitri(who's in the middle of pity party) to be with Adrian, who is so loving and understanding, no offense to Team Adrian fans out there. I would not be able to comprehend that ending if it happens (crossing fingers). Nevertheless, as devoted fans of Vampire Academy, we would need closure for Adrian because he is such a big character, he'd have to appear in the next series.

I am so happy and very surprised that I only have to wait 5 months before Last Sacrifice hits stores. Isn't it usually a year before the next book comes out? It feels like that anyway when playing the waiting game for the next book.

MOVIE ALERT!!! Beautiful Creatures Series to Become a Movie!

It has come to my attention that Warner Bros. has bought the movie rights to Beautiful Creatures, authored by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl.

Warner Bros. is behind the smash hit series, Harry Potter, and is hoping Harry Potter fans will find solace in Beautiful Creatures, which will be a five novel YA series.

The script will be written and directed by Richard LaGravenese who wrote "P.S. I Love You."

For those of you who aren't familiar with the story, here is the book trailer of Beautiful Creatures to give you a quick look.

I'm not sure if Beautiful Creatures is the right movie to fill in Harry Potters Shoes, I'm super bias because I am still crossing my fingers that Vampire Academy will get picked up for a movie deal or even Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. Both of these had great reviews and there are legions of fans all over the world. These book series would be great for adaptations to the big screen because they have world class appeal. Of course, this doesn't mean I won't support Beautiful Creatures. I read the book and I liked it but when I compare it to others, I know other books series would make better movies and not just for the sake of filling a financial gap like Warner Bros. is hoping for.

Nevertheless, I am waiting patiently for Beautiful Darkness, the sequel to Beautiful Creatures. And I am super happy for Kami Garcia's and Margaret Stohl's super success for the books alone. Still have to wait and see about the movie ;) I'll keep my eyes and ears open for a movie release date so stay tuned.

So naturally, after this mega news flash, I have to ask you:

Spirit Bound and Burned Reviews

I am so excited to say that I finally have Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead and Burned by P.C. Cast in my hands. My nose will be buried in these books for the next few days and I'll be posting my reviews this coming week.

Help! What Should I Read Next?

Okay folks,

I am having the hardest time deciding what to read and I need your help. It's not that I haven't looked, it's that I feel overwhelmed with all the great books out there that I just can't seem to choose.

I am looking for paranormal YA books that have explosive, witty characters and are just popping out of the pages, you know what I mean?

Nicholas Sparks Movies Exciting!

So I was really suprised that already, another Nicholas Spark's book is hitting the theater...I am still DYING to see Dear John. I adored the book and I have to say..Channing Tatum..is pretty amazing to look at! I haven't heard great things about the movie, but I like to see for myself =)





The Last Song, I have to say I am VERY superised that Miley Cyrus was playing the lead. But the girl has a voice, and I am hoping she is as good at acting! I haven't read the whole book, but I do know what I have read I enjoyed..I guess I am going to have to finish it pretty quickly, I believe this hits theaters later this month, and I am pumped to see it!





Are you guys as big of a Nicholas Spark fan as I am?! Let me know what you guys think about these movies!!!

Spirit Bound- Who's on the cover with Rose?

I can't wait for this book to come out! To be released May 18, 2010. I have read all the books and absolutely fell in love with Rose and Dimitri's gripping love story. I recently came across the cover for Spirit Bound and there has been discussions as to who is on the cover with Rose? I think it's Dimitri, it has to be! What do you think? Adrian or Dimitri?
